Information Collection

The following information is being collected in order to set up your account for activation when you arrive in Canada:

  • Name,
  • Your address and postal code while in Canada,
  • Email,
  • Date of birth,
  • Your passport and/or Canadian Visa such as study or work permit

Purpose of Collection

This information is being collected for the following purposes:

  • To assist in setting up your Fido account for when you arrive in Canada;
  • To establish a billing relationship with you;
  • To conduct a credit check;
  • To provide service when you arrive in Canada.

Use of Data

  • Pepper Wireless will only retain personal information to transfer it to Fido in Canada, and once transferred Pepper Wireless will destroy its local copy.
  • Fido will retain your personal information for as long as necessary to service your account and such further time as required or permitted by Canadian law.
  • In order to complete the set-up of your account, we will collect and process your personal data in Taiwan, and your personal data will be transferred to Canada in accordance with our privacy policy.

  • Pepper Wireless, a Fido dealer who will be processing your wireless plan application;
  • External credit bureaus in Canada to determine your eligibility for service in Canada; and
  • Fido and its parent company, Rogers Communications Inc. to deliver services when you arrive in Canada.

You may have the following rights relating to your personal data:

  • rights to access to, make an inquiry and review the personal data;
  • right to lodge a complaint to your local data protection authority;
  • right to request correction of the personal data.
